Passerina

White Wine varieties

It mainly grows in the region of Marche and also in Abruzzo and Romagna, where it takes different names. Its spread declined in the ‘60s, when the move from mixed to specialized grape growing favoured the Trebbiano Toscano, a more productive variety yet decidedly less valuable in terms of quality. The variety has a good productivity and good grape quality, especially in terms of acidity.

This variety belongs to the big Trebbiano family and is considered a native of central-eastern Italy.
